A three-generation house where the stair is the only thing everyone shares.
About this project
Three generations, three sets of hours, one plot. The house is arranged so that the grandparents never climb, the parents never pass through a bedroom to reach the kitchen, and the children have a floor that can get loud.
The stair is the exception. It is wide enough to sit on, top-lit, and finished in the same kota stone as the courtyard so the two read as one surface.
